this past summer, i switched my site over to Wordpress, mainly because i got sick and tired of trying to add feature after feature to my homebrewed website, only to realize that someone else had gone down the exact same path before. since i certainly wasn’t doing anything that different, i decided to suck it up and make the switch.

unfortunately, as my brother pointed out to me last week, switching to Wordpress — and more to the point, using one of the main Wordpress themes — made my website really feel like just another blog. so after some hacking around with CSS (i’m becoming a wizard now), i managed to pull most of the stylesheet from my old website back into the new one. all i have to do now is to write a script to pull the old posts into Wordpress and i’ll be all set.
