- we were. i know that i was because i was there at the game. my take? it’s comeuppance for the team handing out those damn thundersticks. on principle, i didn’t take them. you want to make noise at a game? shout, scream, clap, or bang on your seat. i’ve said it before and i’ll say it again — the guy who invented these noisemakers should be stuck in a room listening to kids clap thundersticks together for the rest of eternity.
