- Word Lens
- the technological elements here are pretty basic: OCR, text translation, and graphical manipulation. but the marriage of the three is impressively mindblowing. coming soon: google goggles you can actually wear to interpret the world you see.

- Comic for December 3, 2010
- every product manager’s dream: some day i will be the man who changed an industry with his powerpoint slides… - Business Idea
- oh that it worked this way. i’d be collecting from Dropbox (my idea: 2004) and every single hardware mp3 maker (my idea: 1998). or… maybe i need to work on following through on my ideas — or at least patenting them, a la IBM.

- Warning: Your Attention is Under Siege
- the points about information overload and ADD have been made before. however, what i like most about this post is that it concludes with four easy-to-put-into-practice suggestions for regaining some focus. i also feel that the distinction between pleasure and satisfaction is key.

- Kill Trolls On The Go With The Disqus Mobile Moderator Apps
- these guys (disqus) spoke at Djangocon – largest Django-powered site out there. nice to see them giving some customer love on the mobile front. - New York To Spend $27.5 Million Uncapitalizing Street Signs
- driving through Dennisport last weekend, I noticed they converted traditional street signs to vertical signs, so they could go on the side of existing telephone poles. let me tell you how hard it is to read all-caps text in a vertical orientation, while driving at 35 mph: hard.

- Video Demo: The Bundled Packing Method Fits More Clothes with Fewer Wrinkles [Travel]
- i actually gave this a try for a recent trip to the West Coast. the only downsides are 1) my carry-on is a little small for the base width of my shirts; 2) you have to unwrap the whole bundle at each stop of your trip. - Our Favorite Office Objects: The Endlessly Versatile Binder Clip [Workplace Timesavers]
- such a useful device. i’ve gone to staples to buy a few containers of them for the house.
