Trying a new format

In my chat with Alex this week, he mentioned a new approach he's taking with his blog:

I've found my sweet spot for getting my ideas out the door is about 100 words, just long enough to make a single focused point. Anything longer and it's a slippery slope of scope creep and perfectionism into a sprawling manifesto.

This resonated. I have a backlog of long, incomplete posts that have "Post 1 of X" on them, or are marked up with "TODO: write separate post about this related topic and link it here".

I've stepped back from Twitter, but a short-form approach to my blog might be exactly what I need. Going to set my cap at 300 words for a while and see how that works.

Occasionally, I'll write something longer, but going with shorter posts will let me publish more often.
